Emerald and Fern Green Silk Open Blouse
This open blouse in the back is created with a vintage silk from the 50s that is part of our private collection of antique textiles. The top is made of embroidered emerald green silk crepe and is lined with green silk. It is worn open in the back and closes with a hook in the top. You can also tie the sides at the back to create a blousant effect.
The shape is slightly flared at the bottom. The embroideries show large leaves and flowers, embroidered with gold thread with chain stich and decorated with sequins.
An elegant and unique garment, ideal for an evening or a music festival.
The size ranges from S to M, or 38/40. (the model in the photos is a size 36/38)
Two colors of green are available.
All our silks are vintage and can show small signs of fatigue! We try to select the most beautiful pieces to create unique and precious clothes. Our clothes are precious - dry cleaning is required.
This top is handmade in a shanty town in Beirut, Lebanon, by a team of marginalized women. They belong to the Tahaddi community, a large NGO who tackles poverty. Few years they created a social branch "Tahaddi sewing atelier" which trains and employs women. I'm proud and happy to partner with them!
“I bought a lamp at [beyt] and it’s such happiness therapy! I look at it, recognize its beauty and everything linked with it.”
