Unique Yellow Gold Silk Kimono with Vintage Embroideries

This unique kimono was created with a gold-embroidered silk crepe applied to a beautiful gold-yellow silk. Kimono or indoor dress, abaya or elegant coat, worn over a black dress or in casual version over jeans, this piece has quite a story. The vintage embroideries come from a private collection of vintage Indian shawls bought in the 70s, woven on the first looms imported into India in the 50s.
Each wedding shawl was hand-embroidered with real gold thread by Zardozi craftsmen. The yellow silk comes from haute couture fabrics deadstock.
