Original watercolor and Mixed Media The Golden River 25X21

The Yali along the banks of the Bosphorus in Istanbul are so romantic... I painted this watercolor in shades of pink and gray, but I was only moderately satisfied with it. You can't succeed at everything, can you? So, I enhanced it with collages, using a mix of wallpaper scraps and thick paper covered with gold leaf, and this watercolor found a new purpose, offering its golden shores and foliage.
