The shimmering light is diffused through the colored glass panes, and one can only imagine the reflections inside, magnified by the sun. As Houda Kassatly aptly writes in her book “Beirut, of Glass and Color,” stained glass “gives this mystical and timeless character to Lebanese architecture from the late 19th to the early 20th centuries.” Initially hand-blown, glass was later industrialized and became a hallmark of Lebanese craftsmanship. This Beirut apartment building façade lights up the street through its abandoned, yet still charming, windows.

  • 40 X 40 cm
  • Painted on Arches paper, 300g
  • Framed with wooden frame
  • We do not replace the glass if broken during transportation eventhough we pack very carefully. The glass can be easily replaced at low cost.

“I bought a lamp at [beyt] and it’s such happiness therapy! I look at it, recognize its beauty and everything linked with it.”
