Original Watercolor Setting Sun on Bassili House in Beirut 40X40

The setting sun over this Beirut palace has always fascinated me.
The warm walls catch the light so perfectly, it feels as though the stones are drinking in the sun.

The Bassili Palace, right in the heart of Beirut, has seen its share of turmoil...
Hit hard by the August 2020 explosion, it lost its roof, arcades, and balconies.

Miraculously restored with the help of an NGO, it is now regaining its former splendor.
