What happened to my roof... a question no one wants to ask. In Beirut, between the financial crisis, the explosion, and uncontrolled real estate development, this is, unfortunately, a reality many owners of these beautiful homes must face. Built in the 1880s, these houses have withstood the test of time as best they could—some have been lucky enough to be restored, while others decay and fade away, leaving only memories behind. The bright green chosen to adorn the walls will linger for a few more years, bearing witness to the past of this beautiful architecture.
