Hand-painted Glazed Ceramic Gourde
- These ceramics, produced in a family workshop generations-old, are inspired by traditions of Persian potters dating back to the 12th c. Each item is unique – hand-painted on stone paste with emerald, red, cobalt blue and blue-green under a transparent, colourless glaze. Crafted with “Ichani” (from the name of a town in Irak) technique of firing that produces a crackle glaze, these pieces were made in Damascus, Syria.
